Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask RootChat to delete your data at any time. How you do it depends on who you are.

If you messaged a business that uses RootChat

RootChat stores your messages, your public profile name and picture, and any order details you gave, on behalf of the business you contacted. To delete them:

1. Email contact@rootchat.io with the subject “Data deletion request”.
2. Tell us the name of the business (Facebook Page, Instagram account, WhatsApp number or website) you messaged, and your name or phone number as used there.
3. We will confirm the request, then delete your messages, profile details and order records within 30 days and email you when it is done. We may keep records the law requires the business to keep (for example, invoices).

You can also call us at +880 9638-580804, or ask the business directly; it can delete your conversation and records from its RootChat dashboard.

If you connected your Facebook Page or Instagram account

1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations.
2. Find RootChat and click Remove. This stops RootChat's access straight away.
3. To also delete the data RootChat already holds for your Page, email contact@rootchat.io from your account email. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

If you are a RootChat client closing your account

Email us from your account owner's address. We will delete your account, products, orders, customers, messages and stored tokens within 30 days, and remove them from backups within a further 30 days.
